We have what we call “Longer Way Home” paths that go around some of the more daunting obstacles. The longer way home path will take you longer to complete than the obstacle itself so that is the built-in time penalty for skipping an obstacle. This race is designed for participants of ALL activity levels and abilities.
Absolutely not, and no tear gas either!
This wave is designed for the hard core folks that want to go really fast and want to be first on the obstacles. All participants will be timed no matter what your start time. This wave is limited to 75 people instead of 150 There are no prizes other than bragging rights and that’s priceless. All participants in this wave must be 18 and up.
It is a 5K trail run with about 25 obstacles that weave through a farm, some woods and an active rock quarry. The obstacles are a combination of man-made structures and nature made obstacles that have been fortified.
Back by popular demand: the 5K trail run around the farm fields. Every half mile participants will perform an exercise like 15 push-ups or maybe 10 Burpees etc. All Fitness runners will receive a finisher medal at the finish along with all the other ThunderDash swag.
This combines the Fitness Challenge and the Mud Run. It is recommended that participants complete the Fitness Challenge first. Participants will be directed across the timing matts to get their split time on the fitness challenge and then immediately begin the mud run portion of the course. If a participant wants to run the mud run first; please let our registrations folks know so we can accommodate you. We will ask that you wear your BIB upside down so all our volunteers won’t keep telling you that you are doing the wrong course.
*One beer is included for each participant who is of legal age to consume alcohol. Be responsible – do not drink and drive.
After the race help cheer on everybody else leaving blood, sweat and tears on the course while you bask in the glory of already finishing the race.
As if we didn’t have enough water and mud, we’ll have a couple of drink stations with water and sports drink out on the course for anybody who needs a drink.
Remember: You are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch and non-alcoholic drinks. No outside alcoholic drinks will be allowed on the event grounds. Local law enforcement will be controlling the area.
We recommend showing up at the course at least one hour prior to your start time. That should give you enough time to park, go to the bathroom, go back to your car because you forgot your ID, attach your number with pins, say “Owww that hurts” when your “friend” sticks you with a safety pin, go to the bathroom again and finally line up for your wave at the start chute

Drop your gear with our volunteers at the GEAR CHECK tent so you can claim it after the race with your bib number. After leaving some sweat and tears on the course, rinse the rest of it off with some pond water pumped up to our special course viewing shower deck.
