If this is your first mud run, we have put together some tips and tricks for you.
First up, you’re going to get muddy. That should be a given, but if not…consider this your warning.
Okay, what to wear:
-Clothes that can get dirty. Clothes that you aren’t worried about.
-Snug clothing is suggested and here’s why: mud. It gets everywhere. Including inside your clothes. We don’t know how, it just does! So to avoid schlepping extra (mud) weight on the course, we are snug clothes!
-Shoes that may be on their last leg, or their mud run leg. Tie those laces, double-knot them and then duct-tape them. Again, mud gets in allll the places.
-Gloves can be helpful for those with more delicate hands. Your hands will be working almost as hard as your legs, so if they need protection – get some gloves!
-Not clothing related, but here’s a tip we give everyone…keep your mouth closed. We don’t want you inadvertently swallowing a frog.
-And you’ll probably want to bring a change of clothes. We have showers to rinse off, but these are showers in the middle of a rock quarry, so take that with a grain of sand, err mud.
